Well, the record is done, it’s called “Qualicum” after my long lost summer home. I now have 3 boxes of CD’s sitting on the floor in the Barn, our research facility here in Vancouver. Now what, time to get out there and play. Unfortunately, the band that I put together on the CD is almost totally impossible to play cause everyone is so damn busy, so what you will see is smaller versions of the Tree Shepherd’s playing here and there. We will perform on Friday, May 21st at Cafe duex Soleil on Commercial Drive here in Vancouver. That night, besides Jay and I, Ian Lamont, Geoff Hicks, Debra Jean will be joining us as well as Terry Townson on trumpet, who did the horn arrangements as well as played on the record, boy were all in for a treat with Terry on board!! This is a special night, for it is a benefit for our friends son who has cancer, his name is Ryder and were going to have a night to celebrate his life. It’s by donation and all the proceeds will go to Ryder, his family and to the Ride to Conquer Cancer which his dad, Crow, will be doing in June. The Tree Shepherds will play first then Matt and Jay’s other band, The Other Jug Band, will play after. Please come and help us celebrate the life of Little Ryder!!
